Canister

We recommend that you choose a canister rather than a bag: the liferaft is better protected, and can be secured on board nicely and safely with the addition of a specially designed cradle. Canisters are equipped with 2 or 4 handles (depending on model), for a better grip and carrying facility; they also make throwing into the water much easier. In case the liferaft would be stored on its side, do make sure that the firing lanyard is upwards. We remind you, however, that a liferaft should ideally be lying flat, with instructions on topside.

Radar Reflection

The fiberglass construction and design of most modern boats can make them nearly invisible to commercial and rescue radar. Effective radar reflectors give a constant return to any radar scanning your boat from any point of the 360 degrees horizon. Also, since no reflector can return more of the signal than strikes it, the amount of signal return is dependent on the radar capture area and its geometric design. The Blipper 210-7 meets these requirements. Blipper 210 -7 · For recreational vessels under 40 feet. · Housed inside a radar-transparent polyethylene housing, the Blippers multi-faceted overlapping reflective surfaces provide an equivalent echo area of 107.6 square feet. · Consistent radar return through 360 at +/-30 degrees of heel without dead spots. · Provides effective 360 degrees reflectivity for a 5-mile radius and over. · Constant echo. · Installs easily with brackets or can be hoisted by halyard for temporary use. · 20-gauge aluminum reflector. · Seamless white shell is aerodynamic, compact and lightweight, yet stands tough against harsh conditions. · Passive design requires no power and cannot malfunction.

Rescue Sling

Complete rescue gear, which delivers flotation to the victim and provides a means to hoist the person back aboard with the help of the lifting tackle or halyard winch is necessary. The clever and exclusive design of the Rescue sling consists in the retrieval line which is coiled on a reel: this avoids the line tangling or fouling, and makes the rescue sling the most efficient man over board recovery gear.
