Until now charging batteries has meant connecting to shore power, running the
main engine/generator for long hours or fitting an unsightly and noisy wind
generator. The new Marine Fuel Cell8 will put an end to this: the first
commercially available fuel cell can supply power for all 12V on board
equipment. The Marine Fuel Cell8 can deliver 100Ah per day of clean 12V DC
power in virtually total silence.Fuel cells are
designed to run constantly and can supply power over 24 hours a day. The fuel
cell will continuously produce power as it is needed and uses the main house
battery bank as a buffer to supply momentary peaks to on board consumers.
The "constant power" approach reduces the
Charge/Discharge cycles imposed on house batteries, thus significantly
increasing their service life.
Fuel cells are ecologically friendly and have the capacity to replace fossil
fuels.
Compact and easy to use, install in any ventilated dry area. Emissions are
limited to pure water and a tiny amount of carbon dioxide, with no need for
insulation, wet exhausts or cooling water inlets like other power sources.
